1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CSE DIU Alumni Network ("the Platform"), operated by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dhaka International University ("we", "us", or "our"). By registering or using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to:

• Graduates of the CSE Department, Dhaka International University.
• Current faculty members of the CSE Department.
• Current students of CSE DIU (with limited access as determined by administrators).

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and revoke access for accounts that do not meet these criteria.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
• Keep your profile information current.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other members.
• Spam other members or send unsolicited commercial communications.
• Collect or harvest personal information of other members without consent.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or disruptive software.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Platform. You represent that you have the rights to the content you post.

6. Intellectual Property

All platform design, logos, trademarks, and software are the property of the CSE DIU Alumni Network and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct deemed harmful to the community. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Job listings, scholarships, and opportunities posted by members are their own responsibility and we make no representations about their accuracy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Platform or any content therein.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will provide notice of significant changes via the Platform or email.
